The Malolo Island Resort provides the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation, so it’s no surprise they’re one of Fiji’s most visited hotels. Family Bures accommodate seven guests and provide Fijian bath amenities, refrigerators, and air-conditioning. Formal dining is available at the Treetops restaurant, the Terrace Restaurant serves a delicious breakfast buffet, and the Beach Bar is a more casual way to dine. The clear, calm waters of the South Pacific offer some of the world’s most talked about dive spots and reefs to snorkel Families can also rent kayaks, paddleboards, and jet skis. The hiking trails around the island are phenomenal as well. The Mana Sandbanks are the perfect place for picnics.

A largely positive experience for our 7 nights in bure number one. The staff are second to none in terms of friendliness and are also fantastic singers as we discovered to our delight on a few occasions. The bure was the perfect size for a couple, well appointed and beautifully cleaned daily by the best singer of them all. Some of the buffets had to be cancelled due to low season and low occupancy while we were there and the reason I would not give 5* rating would be the blandness of some of the food in the Treetops a la carte restaurant. We had a Fijian chicken curry that was dry and spineless and also a gristly steak or two. Some of the cocktails also lacked much booze on a few occasions, but you can try and taste all these things at your leisure. Some cold hams and salamis at breakfast would also have been nice.
The snorkelling is so good on site to the right of the jetty that we only took the one trip to Castaway Island and made do with the resort's own amazing Coral reef. As it was term time, there were not too many noisy children and it's fait to say that most of the parents were very responsible and spent time and controlled their own kids so that they did not disturb or annoy people.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Fijian culture. Some of the friendliest and most genuine people work at the resort and they really do care about giving you the best experience possible. From the lovely dining experiences to the water sports and activities, Malolo Island resort does cater for everyone including families with children. We are grateful for the experience and the hospitality. I recommend the guided snorkelling trips, jet ski tours, sun set cruise and kava tasting ceremonies.
