At the oldest working dude ranch west of the Mississippi, kids can go horseback riding, fish, swim, learn archery and attend a championship rodeo. Located 75 miles from New York City in the Pocono Mountains, Malibu Dude Ranch offers 800 acres of family fun, with activities that also include hayrides, bonfires and bingo. Overnight rates include all meals and most activities. Special “Guest Participation” rodeos are scheduled on holiday weekends. Guided ATV Tour and Guided Snowmobile Tour packages (additional fee) are also available seasonally.
The ranch offers a range of accommodations, including Main Lodge rooms and private cabins, a chalet and a boat house with suites, the latter of which feature expanded room for families and large groups. Many accommodations have recently been upgraded. Guestrooms are not furnished with TVs, so guests can enjoy a technology-light vacation.
