If it’s one thing Colorado does very well, it’s dude ranches, and let The Majestic Dude Ranch be the perfect example of the State’s Western hospitality. Majestic Dude Ranch is an all-inclusive experience. The owners operate the ranch from Sunday through Saturday in order to give horses and staff a day to prepare for incoming guests. Guests are also able to book for three nights checking in on Sunday (around noon) or Wednesday (anytime) and sometimes five night stays may also be available upon request.
There is so much onsite activity; one needs an entire season to experience it all. The ranch has an incredible children’s program and the summer season really centers around the kids’ program. All kids ages six and up are able to ride trails while younger kids are given the option to ride in the arena. Aside from riding, kids pan for gold, play laser tag in our Old Western Town, learn to shoot bows and arrows and BB guns, spend time supervised in the pool, take part in a rodeo, and sleep under the stars in Teepee Village. Adults activities abound as well with fishing, rafting, skeet shooting, horseback riding, hiking, and so, so much more. There is an onsite spa, sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool, game room, saloon, it’s endless.
Lodging options include spacious cabins for groups of friends and family to intimate two-person suites. Standard cabins are great for smaller families between four and eight. These cabins have various configurations, but all feature a master bedroom with a king sized, Tempur-Pedic mattress and additional twin beds in separate rooms. All the standard cabins have two bathrooms, some have a master bathroom. Wrigley and Fenway, the newest and most spacious cabins, are offered to parties of eight or more. A large living room, porch, and floor-to-ceiling windows make these cabins perfect for large parties hoping to hang out after long days of activity. These cabins feature a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a second bedroom with a queen sized bed, and additional bedding in the upstairs loft.
Families rave about the food. The ranch’s mission is to provide hearty, yet healthy meals for all guests and chefs cater to all dietary restrictions, allergies, and tastes. The ranch receives two deliveries of fresh food per week and participates in a farm-to table cooperative. Diverse menu options range from prime rib, cooked to your liking, tasty bison chili, fresh salmon and trout, creative pasta selections to homemade desserts.
Nearby attractions include Mesa Verde National Park, only 12 miles away, the Four Corners Monument is 60 miles away, Durango is 23 miles away, Telluride is 45 miles away and the Grand Canyon is 225 miles away. The ranch boasts 300 days of sunshine per year, mild temps, super low humidity, few mosquitoes, bugs, or poisonous snakes.

Visited during a Sept adult only week..
As much riding in the incredible surrounding landscape as you can stand. Better than average dude string of horses. A ton of on and off ranch activites as well...We loved the e-bikes and ATV ride. Food is great, diverse and plentiful. A full schedule of activities each day..but staff really tries to accommodate any special requests.
Cant speak to the family weeks, but I dont know how this ranch couldnt help but get your kids out of their phones.
