This was our 2nd time going to the Majestic Colonial and staying in the Colonial club. The resort is absolutely beautiful and safe. The grounds are always well kept and the beach has incredible white sand and turquoise water that we dream about. We loved it so much the first time that my now fiancé decided to propose on our first night, which was amazing and unforgettable!! Ruddy (Tropical Studios resort photographer) captured fantastic engagement pictures for us. Maria at the pool bar and the staff at the beach bar and lobby bar made delicious drinks every day. The Dirty Monkey’s and Majestic drinks were so yummy! We continued to have such a wonderful time that we actually decided to extend our trip 2 more days and even after 10 days we were still sad to leave. We look forward to going back and possibly getting married there. Thank you to all of the staff at Majestic Colonial for working hard and loving your job!!

Traveled to Punta Cana on Oct 8, to spend a week at the Majesta Colonial. This was are 4 visit to this Hotel ,and we love it. The hotel at this time of year was that busy, so there were no issues with beach chairs ,pool chairs or getting into Resturants ,Our room was amazing,we had a swim up .Our maid was great and kept the room spotless. Only issue i had was that they didn`t stock are room with alcohol .You get 3 bottles and we had to ask. They didn`t stock are room with beer on 2nd last day . I have no issues with this hotel. We love it and will be back in the future, The only other comment would be the TV Channels in the rooms ,They are terrible .There is only 1 english speaking channel. We also visited the Royalton last year, and this part was amazing. Just maybe something you need to look at . See you soon

International Travel
Traveling to Punta Cana requires a passport, but an advanced visa is not required for a short stay. However, you must purchase a 30-day tourist card at the customs and immigration desk. The cost of the card is $10 U.S. per person, and must be paid for in cash; it is imperative that you bring this cash with you. Although the official currency is the Dominican peso, the U.S. dollar is widely accepted. You should bring some, but not a lot, of cash with you for any taxi or unexpected expenses. While Spanish is the official language, English is widely spoken, especially at Majestic Colonial.
The Art of Smart Timing
Thanks to its location, the weather in Punta Cana does not fluctuate much throughout the year. Average high temperatures are around 86 degrees Fahrenheit, with the coolest weather usually in January (average high is 82 degrees Fahrenheit) and the warmest weather usually in September (average high is 88 degrees Fahrenheit). However, the humidity can make you feel much warmer than the actual temperature. The water temperature remains a relatively steady 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
At Majestic Colonial, the busy season traditionally runs from the end of December through the end of April. The property experiences really low occupancy from September through November, with the best rates typically available from August through October.
Getting There
Serving Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away. If traveling by taxi, expect to pay around $30 for a one-way trip. Although the hotel does not provide shuttle service, it does work with an external company to provide private and personalized airport transfers. To book a transfer, contact the hotel directly prior to arrival. One-way transfers generally cost $40 per person. You can wait until you arrive at the airport to arrange a transfer, but it's best if you book it before arrival.
Getting Around
When it comes to exploring Punta Cana, Majestic Colonial offers complimentary shuttle service only to Punta Blanca Golf Course. If booking an offsite excursion, those vendors usually will include round-trip transportation in the price of the excursion. If venturing out on your own, expect to pay out-of-pocket for taxi service. Rental cars are available at the airport, but are not recommended unless you are staying for a lengthy vacation and plan to do a lot of your own sightseeing.
For Mom and Dad
For parents who find themselves without the kids, consider dinner at Le Gourmet followed by an evening trying their luck at the casino or dancing the night away at Discoteca Coco's. For some quiet time before heading back to their room, mom and dad can enjoy a stroll along the moonlit beach as they listen to the waves roll ashore.
