In a beautiful old building, but our room was disappointing. Here are some shortcomings. Curtains are tall and the wand for opening and closing is inadequate, shower floor tiles are slippery, bathroom door is a sliding "barndoor " which does not give real privacy.

Our stay at the Magnolia Hotel was nothing less than perfect. From the clean and comfortable room to the breakfast service to the valet parking, everything went perfectly. When we checked in, our room was ready and the front desk clerk was friendly and made the process quick and efficient. Our car was immediately valeted when we requested it, and each time we called for the car, it was out front and waiting when we got downstairs. Our breakfast was delicious and the service in the lounge where it was served was great. We really enjoyed the cookies too each night.
The location of the hotel was even better than we expected. Just a few short blocks from the historic market area, we found wonderful bars, restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay at the Magnolia Hotel again and will likely stay in their other properties too.
