We have just left Madikwe Safari Lodge after an incredible 3 days there for our honeymoon. The lodge is beautiful and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. It really is the perfect balance of adventure and private relaxation. Our guide William was amazing at finding the animals, answering our questions, sharing his knowledge and keeping us safe in some heart racing moments! It was a true adventure.

We spent 4 nights at Madikwe Lelapa in a family lodge. The accommodation was beautiful and the kids particularly liked the outdoor shower on the deck. The food was absolutely superb and there was plenty of choice with the kids able to eat from the kids menu or adult menu - they're foodies so often prefer adult food. Our guide Niall was excellent and we really enjoyed all of our game drives (even the wet morning drive when the first rains of the season were falling!) He was great with the kids and really responded to my son's interest in birds and reptiles/amphibians which was great (while also making sure we saw all of the big animals too.) The kids activities were really well organised and they particularly enjoyed the kids game drives (especially when they saw a leopard and came back very excited that they'd seen an animal we hadn't!) The pool is located right next to a watering hole and it was amazing to watch herds of elephants, zebra, giraffes and wildebeest coming to drink there while we were sat by the pool (don't worry - the watering hole is separated from the pool by an electric fence.) The staff, led by Olivia, were all brilliant and the customer service really outstanding. Our kids say it was "the best holiday ever". I'd definitely recommend it!
