Check in total farce, hotel booked by my customer. I couldn’t check in for 4 hours on arrival as girl at check in
Insisted on me either buying another room or presenting the card used to purchase the room. Kept pointing out that I should have read the terms and conditions. She polite but passive aggressive!
She insists I leave a card for incidentals even though I am in the room just to sleep between 2am and 7am.
Corridor wreaked of cigarette
No decent light in the bathroom, shaving nearly impossible as mirror is too far away and the single light is directly above your head so massive shadows under chin. Light blonde hair, I can’t see to shave!!!!
Go down in the morning and get told by reception that there is only a full English available as breakfast. If I want to eat to eat it’s £10 if I pay reception or £15 at carluccios. Their restaurant.
I don’t eat fried food so decline. Then On the way back from the shop down the road to buy some fruit I see that it’s actual a breakfast buffet with a great selection of continental or hot food!
It so easily could have been a 4 or 5 star. But a well designed and modern looking hotel just didn’t quite make me feel like I could relax.
