The main entrance area was under refurbishment so didn’t have a nice reception area at the moment.
The executive lounge was below average. Didn’t want to touch the food at all. Wine was not drinkable. Printer was not working.
Polite but cold reception staff.
The room itself was good and spacious. Thought that’s because I got upgraded. Slippers were not not in the room but can be requested.
The Xenia hotel right opposite looks better. It is Marriott group too. Might try that one next time.

I am writing this review while I am still at this hotel. I didn’t want to wait to write this review sharing how great the front desk team is (Estefania, Sonia, Hannah & Elenia). After our house rental in South Kensington went wrong, we needed an alternative quickly and this Marriott was nearby and we had planned staying only one night. When we arrived the front desk team was sympathetic and kind and got us registered in no time. When we were ready to check out this morning, the daytime crew was, likewise, kind and so helpful in searching for rates and room types that we ended up extending our stay here.
The queen bed is comfortable and the room (603) has plenty of space and I think two people could be accommodated comfortably as well. Everything you expect is here: Coffee tea station with biscuit, mini fridge (no honor bar), safe, ironing board & iron, hairdryer, bath robe, writing desk and lounging chair.
The hotel is equal distance from Earls Court tube and Gloucester Road tube stations (about five minute walk or so) and there’s a supermarket across the street and a number of eateries, including fast food, around Earl’s Court. It’s a fairly easy walk to Holland Park and Kensington Palace and a quick tube ride to Picadilly, Westminster and the surrounding area.
The management at this location should be very proud of their team; I am very impressed with the service that I’ve received. I would definitely consider this hotel on a future stay in London.
