If I described the incredible service in detail it would read like a travel brochure. from check in to check out each member of the staff, reception staff to waitresses were absolutely attentive to all our requests.
Our room was small which is to be expected in a boutique hotel and the view was not worth opening the blinds for. However, I have learned that checking in early generally gets you a poorer choice of room. However, since the room is for sleeping in the service is what makes this hotel stand out.
Staff does not have their hand out and seem generally surprised when offered a gratuity.
If you're still reading this review is this a short story of why I think this could be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
One of the staff is of Greek origin so I asked her for a recommendation for a Greek restaurant since my favorite dish is charcoal grilled octopus. She recommended two (one of which we ate at). That evening as we were just leaving for the theatre (review of plays in other posts) there was a knock at our door. A waiter had a tray for us. I advised it was a mistake as we had not ordered anything from room service. He told us it was not a mistake but a complimentary dish from our lovely clerk we had talked to about the Greek restaurants. When we uncovered the top of the dish we discovered a lovely order of octopus compliments of the hotel, We have never received that kind of service in the past and will probably have to wait quite sometime for it to happen again.
This is only one of several stories of the type of service offered by this hotel.
In addition it is within walking distance of all theatres in the West End (we saw 6 plays during our stay) as well as a number a wonderful restaurant.
Looking forward to returning to this hotel in the future but will see if I can get a room with a view. I have no doubt that if I rejected the room I would have received one with some view.

My wife and I stayed at the London EDITION a few weeks ago and was incredibly impressed by the almost everything about this hotel. We've been long-time SPG members and have stayed at some amazing properties all over the world but it's hard to remember a stay where the customer experience was so amazing. From the moment we arrived and checked in we were greeted so warmly by Paola, Lizzy, and Luisa and then offered a complimentary drink before we even checked in to the moment we said goodbye the entire experience was first class! We really enjoyed relaxing and chilling in the beautifully designed lobby bar where the wait staff (Manon and Anita) could not have been more friendly, professional and attentive. In fact, Manon had sent up a "DIY margherita" package to our room after hearing how much we enjoyed the margherita she made for us earlier, which was such a sweet thing to do and so unexpected. Each time we entered or exited the property the front door staff always greeted us with such a warm and friendly smile that it made us feel great about being there. They were always quick to open doors, call for cabs and help with luggage. The London EDITION has the best trained staff in the hospitality industry. Clearly, the hotel is beautiful but the staff is the reason we'll be back. Thank you all for making our stay in London memorable and fun!
