Overview

With the assistance of certified dive instructors, divers of all ages and ability levels can explore the beautiful coral reef that surrounds Maamigili Island. Baby sharks, rays, sea, turtles, and schools of tropical fish frequent the colorful reefs. The Loama Resort Maldives at Maamigili also offers snorkeling and glass bottom boat tours for less adventurous guests. Family Beach Villas can accommodate four adults, with cribs available for the tiniest of travelers. Each villa comes loaded with luxury amenities including iPod docking stations, iPads, flat screen televisions, blue ray players, soaker tubs, and rain showerheads. Six restaurants and BBQ facilities will ensure that even the pickiest of eaters are satisfied.

Noisy but nice

Beautiful hotel which has now closed down. The food was out of this world, the dinner buffets were to die for except breakfast which was repetitive. Snorkelling was wonderful we saw a giant eagle ray, moray eel, sting rays, +++

The rooms were of a high 5* standard befitting of the Maldives. Unfortunately there was some construction going on next to our room which was unacceptable.

We had a great time at there! Definitely 5 stars!

We visited Loama Resort in the Maldives during the rainy season. We definitely give it 5 stars. We loved it! The staff were amazingly kind, especially Suraj, Majibur, Shahin, Rose, Bel, Julia, Antari, and Raafiui. They were extremely competent, and treated us very kindly. We would recommend anyone going to the Maldives, to visit Loama Resort for exceptional treatment, a wonderful view, and comfortable lodgings. This was our first trip to the Maldives, and the resort was everything we had hoped it would be. We had a wonderful time, and really enjoyed the resort!
