Overview

The Lion Motel is an affordable, family-owned business overlooking the St. Lawrence River. The modest motel is across from public beaches and walking distance away from the local shops and restaurants. Ideal for a fishing getaway, the motel provides services that cater to fishermen, such as fish tackle and chair rental. Standard guestrooms are available with two double beds, accommodating a family of four. Guestrooms include a refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The motel also has one-bedroom suites that can sleep four to five people with a double bed, pullout sofa bed, and rollaway bed. The suite includes a fully furnished kitchen.

Nice spot. Great location. Dog friendly.

Excellent stay with the dogs. Nice area out front for the dogs to play fetch. Also a small playground for kids. Lots of open space to roam all around. Walking distance to a pub, a restaurant, LCBO, & pharmacy.
Gas station, Timmy’s just down the road (approximately 1km)

The room was tiny. I liked the floor was laminate & not carpet. Definitely good for a night or two. They do offer rooms with kitchenettes for longer stays.
Room had a fridge, microwave, tv, central AC, small desk with a drawer for some clothes.
There was no blow dryer for hair.
Just very basic but clean.
The walls are a little thin so you can hear everyone coughing, talking, taking showers but it all settled down by 2300hrs.
I would most likely stay here again.
Great little spot.

Good location, close to good restaurants, fry truck, Tim Hortons, lcbo and long sault parkway. (Bring your bicycle)
The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. But a bit outdated...which didn't bother us at all.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
There is a bbq to use, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker (bring your own coffee and filters)
We definitely recommend staying here if youre looking for a budget-friendly motel. We will be back again ourselves.
