Lilly Beach resort, FANTASTIC! All inclusive resort. This was our first trip here for a short break on a business trip. The beach is great with a large reef just off the coast, a lot of fish to see, we did get the opportunity to see a sea turtle while paddling in a "glass" bottom kayak.
The rooms are modest but very well appointed and maintained. There was always someone to bring a buggie (golf cart) down to the beach and drive you to the restaurant. Normally this would be a nice walk, but I ended up in a walking boot due to injury earlier in the week.
The staff was the best, very helpful and super service. Breakfast was excellent with eggs cooked to order. There is plenty of variety to fit almost any taste. (eastern and western) pastries, salads, fruit, bread, cereal, conji etc.
The one downside was that we were supposed to have a seaplane ride into and out of, something got messed up somewhere along the way. We ended up taking a short flight and a 25 min boat ride. I would only take a seaplane in the future, too risky for connecting flights. Almost 12 hours back to Bangkok.
A special shout out to Dana who took care of our check in, Monica at the front desk, Jameel in the restaurant and Karthik at the beach bar, a special thanks for the ice for my ankle. Wonderful trip and great people from all over.
