If you're a diver and looking for a great place to stay in eastern Bali, this is an excellent choice. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is very helpful, and the food is good
There's not much else to do in Tulamben except dive or snorkel and there's no real beach, but the diving is terrific.

On arrival there’s not much to Tulamben and the entrance to the hotel is on a side street. However staff were quick, friendly and helpful to check us in and we settled into our huge chalet with view of the second pool and manicured gardens. Very clean room, some small ants at the doors but hey that’s tropical life. We had booked diving that afternoon and our guide Made took us out within an hour of arriving. Did the drop off which was quite crowded with divers and saw some scorpion fish and other bits before coming back.
Second day we went early am to USAT Liberty which was great. Still heaps of people by the time we ascended at 6.50 and time for another dive after breakfast.
Restaurant is great, simple tasty fare served swiftly with strong hot Bali coffee for breakfast and very reasonable prices. Much better than some other hotels we’ve been to in Bali. Overall loved our stay, wish we could have stayed longer. But we’ll be back.
