Opened in 2017, LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is the new kid on the block at LEGOLAND Florida. The colorful hotel is all things beach — beach-inspired bungalows, beach-inspired dining and even a real lighthouse that glows at night!
LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is all about convenience for families, too, offering themed accommodations that sleep five guests, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool, kids’ programming, a complimentary shuttle to LEGOLAND Florida and even a bar for mom and dad. Another convenient perk? It has a drive-thru check-in area!
LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is one of two resort hotels at LEGOLAND Florida; the other is LEGOLAND Florida Hotel. Both hotels offer similar perks, although LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is often priced a bit cheaper.

The hotel features a total of 166 rooms in 83 bungalows, situated in 13 coves. Each cove has its own LEGO name and color theme -- one cove is blue, another is orange and so on -- and most coves face Lake Dexter.
All guestrooms are themed and feature a king bed and a separate cove (with curtains) that sleeps three kids in a bunk bed with trundle. Rooms also have mini-fridges and coffeemakers, plus complimentary bottled water and juice boxes. Another family feature we love -- mini toilet seats for little ones in the bathrooms!
Each bungalow has two guestrooms, and each of those rooms has their own porch with a table and chairs. Cribs are available upon request and free of charge.

We loved the family bungalow accommodation here, great facilities with the playgrounds and pool and awesome LEGO creations around the resort. We got to see LEGO characters visiting the restaurant too which was a highlight for the kids.

An excerpt from my blogpost:
WE LOVED BEACH RETREAT!!
The “Retreat” was about .5 miles away and had a shuttle that went back and forth. You also get a parking pass if you prefer to drive yourself. The shuttle stops running between 12-3 p.m. which I did find a bit odd.
As a family with a boy and a girl, I am always trying to find a room with three beds; I know larger families have the same problem. Legoland was great for this because most rooms have a king bed plus bunk beds with a trundle. So it can easily sleep 5 in a room. Both kids had a small Lego set waiting for them. Also there was a channel (49 – I remember this well) that runs the Lego movies ALL DAY EVERY DAY COMMERCIAL FREE. During all down time in the room, the kids watched these movies. Over and over. I can’t believe they don’t get sick of them, but those movies are really good even for adults. In fact I think these movies are what actually makes the whole place so much fun.
At Beach Retreat, each “room” is part of a duplex which is part of a cove. Each cove has its own playground. It also has a really nice pool area with floating Legos, a sandy area, and a cool playground. There is also bar service near the pool.
The onsite restaurant, Sandy’s, has a pretty good menu and is a great place for a birthday celebration. For around a $100 birthday package, you get two appetizers, meals for all, a cake, a Lego gift, crown and pin and card for the birthday kid, plus they sing to you, and you get a S’mores kit to use later. My daughter really felt special!
Coffee every morning starting at 6 a.m. and a great breakfast buffet is included.

Family Activities
Beach Retreat Pool
The hotel has a large pool that's surrounded by -- what else -- LEGOs! The giant LEGOs double as pool toys for kids to enjoy. The Beach Retreat Pool area is where activities are hosted each evening, too -- dance parties, contests with prizes and more. There's usually a special ceremony for the lighting of the lighthouse, too -- it's adorable!
Other pool amenities include life jackets (complimentary), plenty of lounge chairs, a playground and a fire pit. Families can purchase a four-person pack of S'mores ingredients at the onsite Palm Tree Traders for $10 (or bring their own).
LEGOs
In the main resort building, you'll find a giant LEGO structure and LEGOs galore -- a perfect diversion for kids when it rains or while you're finishing breakfast. It's conveniently located next to the bar, too...
Family Dining
Sandy's Castle
Sandy's Castle is where you'll find complimentary breakfast each morning, served buffet-style. Families can also head to Sandy's Castle for dinner, which includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and the like, plus a separate kids' menu. Plenty of seating is available.
