This chain hotel is a great choice for families wanting a clean and comfortable room at a reasonable price. The two-room suites feature a king bed in a separate bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room, with space for a crib or rollaway. You also get a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. La Quinta’s free Bright Side Breakfast is bigger than most, with custom omelets, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and so much more. There’s a good-sized outdoor pool for the kids to splash in at the end of a busy day, and a spacious fitness center for your daily workout. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi and laundry service.
The La Quinta Inn is located near the Abilene Mall and a long boulevard of big box stores and strip malls. You’ll have no problem with shopping or chain restaurants. However, the real Abilene is a short, 10-minute drive away. Head into downtown to experience the historic buildings, museums, and local eateries that make this town such a memorable place to visit. Kids will love Frontier Texas, where holographs guide you through the history of the state. For even more history, drive 20 minutes south of Abilene to Buffalo Gap Historical Village for a chance to walk through an awesome collection of 15 buildings from the early days of Texas. La Quinta’s central location near a major highway makes it easy to travel around the area in a quick and efficient manner. With its family-friendly amenities and affordable rates, the La Quinta Inn is a great place to stay during your big trip to Abilene.

This visit left me underwhelmed. We are frequently La Quinta customers so chose to stay when in Abilene. The hotel has been updated, but still shows it age. Our toilet ran and the shower was tiny.
We were less than impressed with the room when we had no towels upon arrival, not even a hand towel. Called down to the desk and they couldn’t be bothered to get off their cell phone and bring them up to us. So I had to go get them.
Nothing was terrible just overall not impressed. Staff seemed disengaged and quality was just so so.

Room was great, staff were excellent, location was convenient. Hotel is clean and well-maintained. It's tucked away from the main roads, so it might be a little hard for someone to find if not familiar with Abilene. Nearby Walmart and restaurants are convenient to this location.
