We picked this hotel for our 4 night stay in Budapest as it looked a little quirky on the photos plus seemed to be in a handy location for the main tourist attractions in the city. We were right about the location - it's perfect for Vaci Street, it's only a short walk from the Deak Ferenc square transport hub, minutes from two of the sightseeing bus tour stops, has loads of restaurants nearby, it's only a short walk from the Elizabeth Bridge to get you over to the Buda side of the river, and 30-40 minutes walk from the Parliament building.
Internally the hotel is nicely decorated (stylish and colourful but not gordy), most of the staff friendly*, our room was spacious in the main and well equipped. Perhaps the bathroom was a little small (room 317) and the tile grout in the shower cubicle needed a deep clean, but I'm being very picky and for the price paid we were really very happy with our choice. High ceilings and good sound deadening between our room and the next made for a quiet stay.
*The exception was the breakfast staff - they made no attempt to interact with guests, never offering so much as a smile or a "good morning", just kept themselves to themselves while scurrying around clearing tables and replenishing the breakfast spread. I realise the breakfast is self serve and for some interaction with staff is not necessary or of value but for me I like to hear "good morning" and maybe even a "help yourself to breakfast but if there's anything you need or can't find I'll be happy to help".
-1 star for the breakfast staff, but otherwise I'd recommend the hotel to anyone and would happily stay here again myself.

Perfect location near the Danube, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, on the pest side and a beautiful walk over the bridge to the Buda side for a day at the Ruda or Gellért Baths. Friendly staff, nice little coffee and bar in the lobby, great breakfast is included in your room. Rooms clean, quiet and cozy.
