I stayed here Jun 2017, the breakfast is a very basic 2 eggs and toast. No kettle in villa. The power was going on and off and I was constantly told to turn of air conditioner and lights because they were renovating middle villa and the generator was using power. The place was empty, the mosquitos OMG rampid at night No lights on at night outside to have a swim, the shower was outside and the flow was pouring out.The steps down to the villa were very slippery and a lot of them. The guy next door had 10 dogs so all you heard was barking day and night not recommended for mature aged couple.

We're in our third day at Villa Kusuma Sari and already bumming out that we have to leave in two days. This is a hidden gem near Ubud, two one bedroom villas plus the owner's so it's definitely intimate and feels like being the house guest of a very privileged friend. Our villa is spacious and private with a huge bathroom including indoor and outdoor showers and outdoor tub. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the pool. The garden is spectacular here and our hostess gave us an impromptu tour of the orchids, unusual flowers and, best of all, the Balinese herbal plants in the kitchen garden. Our days are spent in Ubud, about a 15 minute drive away and we return in the afternoons to the refreshing swimming pool. There are several dining pavilions here and we enjoyed dinner here two evenings. We've arranged a special dinner for our last evening. Our friends are joining us from their Ubud hotel and we will have a Balinese feast with live gamelan band. Thank you, Ketut, Made and the rest of the crew!
