Kokomo Botanical is the best way to enjoy TCI. The staff are the best. I went with my wife and two young daughters (10yo and 5yo). Prior to arrival, Butler Jan sent us information for airport transfers, but also recommended that we rent a car. We did not follow his advice, but that was a mistake. Driving in TCI is easy.
Upon arrival, it was raining, so Butler Laurence greet us right at our villa #212. He gave us a tropical fruit drink to enjoy while he went over the check-in. He also provided cool clothes. His overview of the amenities was superb and then he provided us with a cellphone to use locally. It had preprogrammed numbers for all of the butlers.
There is a grocery store close by, so Butler Laurence arranged for a taxi to take us. The taxi driver waited for us while we were in the store about 45 minutes. Upon returning to the villa, the cost was only $20 round-trip including the wait. Amazing! Butler Laurence definitely knew the right person to call.
The next day, we decided that we wanted a rental car. I tried calling Avis, but there were issues with their phone, so I asked Gabriella. She then got Butler Wenie to use her skills. Wenie was able to arrange a rental car through Sixt at less of a cost than through the website. The Sixt employee even brought the car to our villa. Talk about service!!!
The next day we drove all over the island, but unfortunately at sunset experienced two flat tires due to a strange incident. I called Butler Wenie and she arranged for Sixt to come to our location. They brought us a brand new rental car and took care of the other one. Needless to say, Wenie stayed up late making sure that we made it back safely. We're so thankful for her, as when I tried calling Sixt, they did not answer.
As for the resort, the villas are more than spacious. Two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen and living room. It was perfect for our family of four. We all loved the pool which has water from a natural spring. We felt refreshed every time we took a dip. The resort was quiet all the time, at most there were a few other couples or individuals around. It's not chaos like the larger resorts.
Their private transportation to Bight Beach was perfect. It was so awesome having a butler at the beach with lounge chairs and an umbrella at no additional cost. Their beach is a 10 minute walk from the coral reef gardens, which are spectacular.
We also had a private tour of their gardens by their gardeners. They picked fruits and veggies off of the plants just for us. The best!!!
The resort is in the middle of the island: 10 mins to the airport, 10 minutes to Grace Bay area, 15 minutes to Sapodilla/Taylor bay. Best location without the crowds.
We're so thankful for the staff at Kokomo Botanical for making our first trip to TCI so memorable and easy.
