Overview

This beautiful riverside lodge is 6 miles east of Soldotna, on a wide stretch of the Kenai River where the salmon practically jump into your net. Their spacious cabins are ideal for a large family, or even a small one that wants to spread out. The biggest of them include a master bedroom with queen bed and a huge loft with three queen beds. Every cabin also includes a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a private deck overlooking the river. There’s a brand new open air pavilion decked out with four gas grills, smokers, sinks and tables where you can prepare your day’s catch for dinner while swapping fish stories with other guests. The lodge offers meal plans if you choose not to cook. They also have a wide range of packages combining lodging, meals, fishing charters or excursions like rafting, bear viewing and glacier cruising.
The King Salmondeaux certainly feels remote, but it’s an easy 15-minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants in Soldotna. The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is practically in the lodge’s backyard. The refuge is a great place to view wildlife and find amazing scenery. Fishing on the Kenai River is easy. Simply step off your cabin’s deck and use the equipment provided by the lodge. For guided trips on the river, the lodge can arrange everything for you, or you can find a company in town. With its family-friendly cabins, extra amenities, meal plans, charters and excursions, the King Salmondeaux is a great choice for your ultimate Alaska adventure.

The team at this lodge was outstanding, the fishing was outstanding, the location was easy, the river was not crowded....its hands down the coolest place I've ever been or fished. Won't even hesitate staying anywhere else in AK.

Clean and quiet and Leslie will take such good care of you. She's lovely and understanding. Lots of fun and I would stay there again. The "black out" shades could be a bit darker and completely block out the light in the bottom bedroom for the summer, but the forest green was not too bad! So more black out shades all around, especially if sleeping in the loft, and I could see that being a better night's sleep for those of us in the lower 48. ;) Also, lots of great wildlife including moose and bald eagles, so have the camera ready!
