This downtown Phoenix Kimpton Hotel is very close to the 3d Street/Washington light rail station. There is a rooftop pool, complimentary morning coffee, an evening wine hour and complimentary bikes to borrow. Wi- Fi is complimentary and guests love the curated local art, mountain views and oversized rooms. Rooms are outfitted with sleek, modern furnishings, two queen-sized beds or one king bed with luxe linens, down duvet and pillows. The suites are larger, with a Japanese soaking tub, but don’t necessarily offer more sleeping quarters.
The Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails onsite is said to be where Southern comfort food meets Southwest sizzle. The restaurant is open for lunch daily and dinner Sunday to Thursday. Grab a light bite and something to drink at the Lustre Rooftop Bar, where the plates are designed for sharing. Talking Stick Resort Arena, home to the Phoenix Suns and major concerts, is a short walk away; Chase Field, where the Arizona Diamondbacks play, isn’t far; and CityScape, with plenty of dining, entertainment and shopping, is also nearby. Join the Kimpton Karma loyalty club and get free Wi-Fi and other perks.

This was one of the most awesome stays ever, even if just for one night.
We were having both bad and good events, as it was near our anniversary (lots of years) as well as us having to come to Phoenix to visit an uncle in hospice. This hotel stay was just meant to be a stress reliever, a place to rest before leaving out of Phoenix early the next morning.
The hotel and staff were awesome, as we were upgraded to a much better room (I hesitate to say how much better, as we were gobsmacked and I wouldn't want anyone to assume they should get the same), and a complimentary bottle of champagne also arrived.
Thank you Kimpton Palomar, for helping emphasize the good, while recognizing the bad. You couldn't have done better.

One of my favorite places to stay in Phoenix. Great hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Close to everything downtown. Cool rooftop pool and bar. Blue Hound restaurant is also great. What more can I say?
