Overview

Beyond Resort Kata (formerly Kata Palm Resort and Spa) at Kata Beach is a four-star hotel in a very family-friendly stretch of coastline. The hotel has a range of rooms and suites to suit varying family sizes and several have swim-up access to the pool (although children must be over 12 to stay in pool rooms for safety reasons.)

The resort spa, Kanda, is an oasis of relaxation with trained massage therapists and beauty technicians on hand for those wanting to chill out. For those needing to burn off energy, there is also a fitness center onsite. The pools are one of the hotel’s most popular features, with an adult pool, a children’s pool and a lazy river that meanders past beautiful tropical gardens and under ornate bridges.

The resort offers a Kids Club with a busy program of activities for little ones and slightly bigger ones. The main restaurant on site is Calcio+ which serves fusion food and wood-fired pizzas made by an Italian chef. There is also a coffee shop and a bar. For families wanting a bit more culinary variety, there are lots of restaurants nearby at Kata beach.

Fantastic pools, good resort

The Kata palm is in a great location. Close by to the beach and the kata markets as well as restaurants and street food stalls.
The resort itself has 3 fantastic pools.
Our family room was great and in the new building. My daughter loved the bunk bed with stairs and her own curtain. There was a fridge and complimentary water.
The only negatives were that our block had a damp/ old/mucky smell, and that we had a few random things go missing in our room.
Definitely recommend using the safe just in case.
But if I ever get the chance, I will go back there.

Excellent location and service

Stayed for 5 nights great location with a short walk to the beach and restaurants/shopping, room was very comfortable, large bed and decent sized bathroom, the balcony had a lovely view of the pool we were in the second floor . There was two lovely pools to choose from the both having swim up bars which was great. The only down sides was the room was dark even with the blinds opened, there was also no screen door on the unit which would have been nice so we could open the door. Other then that all the staff were very friendly and happy to help.
