At Kapalua, families can stay in one-, two- or three-bedroom suites or even luxury homes with up to five bedrooms. Villas are elegantly decorated with oceanfront or golf course views. Most villas have full kitchens, washer/dryer units and private lanais. Four restaurants offer a range of cuisines from regional to Mediterranean. The Honolua Store also offers hot breakfasts and deli-style lunches. Guests receive preferential treatment at resort shops and access to two championship golf courses. Golf schools for kids with junior tees are free with a paying adult. Guests also receive access to the nearby Ritz-Carlton Kapalua pool area. A complimentary resort shuttle transports guests around the resort. Families can go on nature hikes, zip line or take a tour of the origins of pineapples.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Gold Ocean view Bay Villa. This was booked through Costco Travel as a package with airfare and a full size car for 1 week. The condo was very nice and large with 2 bedrooms one with a king and the second with queen bed which were very comfortable. There were 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional but was missing hot pads and the oven door did not close tightly. There were several nice eating areas and a lanai with ocean views. These are villas with at least 2 units in each building . We were on the ground floor with a unit above us. It was very quiet.
Our unit in Bay Villa #25 had amazing ocean views and a nice pool immediately below the unit on the cliff above the ocean. You could walk to Oneola beach from the condo.
The unit had a compact washer and dryer. Several ceiling lights and a bathroom fan were not working. The property did waive the resort fee as a result of these deficiencies and the oven door issue. You will have to pay extra if you want cleaning services during the stay. No fresh towels midweek were provided either, but the unit had plenty of bath and beach towels.
This property is very large, if you want to be near the ocean you need to be in one of the Bay Villas, the Golf and Ridge villas are quite a way from the beach above the road.
This property is on the west side of Maui .There are some very good restaurants nearby but it is quite a drive to Lahaina-40 minutes and about 90 minutes to the base of Haleakala. There is excellent snorkeling at Kapalua Beach just a 5 minute drive from the Bay Villas. We really enjoyed our stay here in this unit.

We booked Unit 20B 2, hoping for views and a decent place to stay but not expecting duct-taped air conditioning units, water that did not heat up, a strange smell like a sewer, a rusted dishwasher, a stained kitchen sink with missing parts, and the most annoying thing, a main kitchen cabinet door that fell off every time we opened the one next to it and bruised our feet. The views are beautiful but for $500 - 600 per night you would not expect falling cabinet doors and duct tape!!!
