Families are sure to unwind and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at the working ranch, K-Diamond-K Guest Ranch, a 1600 acre dude ranch located in the hills of eastern Washington state. Of course, horseback riding is a big attraction at the ranch (everyone is given lessons upon arrival), but families will also enjoy petting and feeding the animals, biking, hiking, fishing and in the spring, seeing lots of baby animals and experiencing a cattle drive. In the new 16,000-square-foot log lodge with 15 spacious guestrooms, stone fireplaces, natural wood beams, and handmade furniture create a rustic yet inviting atmosphere. Rooms offer a choice of bed sizes, and all rooms feature a private bathroom.
The ranch is all-inclusive, so all meals and activities are included in room rates. You’ll enjoy taking dinner with the Konz family around their own dining room table, and at lunchtime, sack lunches are provided or the staff will bring you lunch somewhere on the trail. Kids particularly enjoy the cook-outs with a campfire and picnic outings. Guests remark on the comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and the warm and friendly nature of the owners.

We decided to take a trip to a Dude Ranch this year. I did a lot of research online before I booked our trip to the K Diamond K. It was a GREAT choice. We arrived around 3:00 and met Kathy. She's the owner and is a wonderful hard working person. She makes sure that the guests are happy and comfortable. While there my wife and I rode and herded horses and some cattle. We fished, shot trap, shot bow and arrows and had a blast. The property is very beautiful and was enjoyed by all the others guests also. If you have children and are looking for a great vacation- this is it. Kathy gives special attention to the kids. She makes memories for and with them. I saw a couple of kids that did not want to go home.
The room was pretty basic, but comfortable with a nice shower. Our room had a queen and a twin bed with pictures for John Wayne on the walls. We also had a balcony with chairs so we could sit outside and enjoy the views.
Food was also good, and plenty of it. Breakfast- lunch and dinner were a little different every day. I loved the biscuits and gravy. Drinks at the bar are also included in the daily rate.
Don't miss going there. You will love it. Your kids will love it. It's better than taking the family to Disneyland. Your family will have quality time and a lifetime of memories.

One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. It wasn't just a vacation. It was a life adventure. The McKay/Konz family is so warm and inviting. Food and the lodge were great. Whether you want the working ranch experience or relaxing peace and quiet nature, you'll enjoy every minute. I can't wait to get back! Thank you Kathy, Brian, Steven, marielle, Mercer, Alexis, Louise, Kevin, Angel, Lucy, Lyla and the rest of the gang. A very special thanks to Dr. June who I would want to be when I grow up if I wasn't already grown up. What a brilliant strong woman and veterinarian. Its obvious why her daughter Kathy runs this ranch like Wonder Woman on a horse.
