What used to be a motor lodge is now a boutique hotel in Portland! The Jupiter Hotel is well known for the Doug Fir Lounge, a popular concert venue in the area. (Your teens will love it.) It also features an onsite restaurant and bicycle rentals to explore Portland like a local.
Guestrooms feature chic, artsy decor; double queen rooms are available for families. All rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi and speakers for your MP3 player. Be sure to check out the hotel’s deals, which include a Voodoo Doughnuts Package!

If you have to stay at one of the two properties stay at the Next. The noise of the Jupiter was ridiculous. Staff not that accommodating in resolving issue, when it was clearly guest NOT the bar venue making noise at 3am to 5am. I’m NOT a complainer but it was ridiculous. The amenities are really at the Jupiter Next. Maybe it’s quieter too

Loud, loud, loud. I stayed here for business for three nights. The first night, I was in room 115-- people slamming around upstairs, loud cars outside, loud music. I asked to move rooms and they moved me to 242, which was also loud-- lots of bass, walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Rooms need updating-- definitely overpriced for what you get, but is a great location. If I was here to party all night, this may have been a different experience than to travel for work. No sleep and meetings= no Bueno.
