We love staying here, we do not stay anywhere else now. It's just outside the town but within 5 minutes drive or 20 minute walk of town. The views are stunning, there is enough room in the rooms and they are comfortable. Your right on the hiking trails so you can park the car and not move it for the duration of your stay. The Bistro is amazing, the staff are amazing, the food is just fantastic, the cocktails are fantastic and you can sit in front of the fireplace with your beverage of choice, and look at the views down the valley over Banff to Canmore as the sunsets.

The hotel sits just outside Banff and is in a good location. The room was incredibly clean with ample space. It also offered excellent views of the mountains.
The food in the bistro wasn’t great. We booked for the Thanksgiving meal. The soup was less than warm and the main course saturated with garlic and the turkey was only dark meat and very fatty - 2/3’s inedible. Having said that, Ben, our waiter, was incredibly friendly and efficient and the lad behind the bar made a great Old Fashion. My recommendation would be to enjoy the bar and view but skip the food.
