We absolutely fell in love with this hotel and frequently returning back for our autumn break. Hotel came through the renovation so the rooms are more "up-to-date", modern, clean. However I am not satisfied with the new set up of the room. The master bed used to face to the window so in the morning you really had the view of ocean and Burj Al Arab. With the new set up, when the bed is placed on the other side of the room, you see only the construction of the new JB property. Disappointing. The other thing is already mentioned current construction. Even if they try to avoid the noise, it runs though day and night and sometimes it is very annoying. Credits to the JBH that they mentioned this on their website. It's up to everyone's choice.
Overall the hotel is great. Food, entertainment for kids, water park, warm sea (with waves, which is impossible to experience when you stay "on the Palm"), pools, it all takes you beyond your "normal" days. Simply enjoy!

So go picked up from the airport in a Jumeirah car big enough for 8 people!! There was only 4 of us. We landed in Dubai at approx 7.30ish. We were checked into our room by 11am. No hassle friendly reception staff. I had prior to arriving emailed a few requests about the room and all of the requests were met. We had a room on the 12th floor with Murphy beds. For me the holiday isn’t just the room. Food was lovely, however the drinks service could have been a little better. The swimming pools were brilliant, but at times got a little crowded. Wild Wadi was brilliant. This was the 1st holiday where let the kids go off on their own. We found a base and the kids checked in every often. Yes there was construction work, but the whole of Dubai is a building site at the moment. We were on the 12th floor and trust me we didnt hear anything. Personally some reviews here are OTT about the noise. Kids found it interesting watching what was going on. Some of the reviews I found were slight over the top about the construction. The afternoon tea was over abused. Out of the 7 days we had it 4 times as they rest of the days we were out and about. The hotel needs to stagger the timings or find other spaces in hotel. People were just grabbing food like it was going out of fashion, it was like being in a Butlins canteen and this is no fault of Jumeriah its the type of customer, the staff kept replenshing as fast as they could. Dubai is one of those place that you visit and tick of the list. I don’t think I go back again, but it is somewhere i enjoyed visiting. Some of the reviews are harsh, but i also think people do go OTT. They staff we came across were lovely, the food was lovely, the fresh fruit and the patisserie counter were beautiful.
