The view sucks (except for a few nice rooms), and beware the cockroaches. I battled one on my last night and it didn't give up easy. But other than that one encounter I was totally accepting of the quality.
Was very affordable!

Stayed here for 5 days in August. The reviews looked good but would it match up.
YES, great stay, great position, very comfortable room, helpful staff.
What really made it even more special is that we got a room with a small balcony, great to sit on and enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea etc which you can get from a nice Deli two doors away.
Filtered water most appreciated, free tea and coffee in the lounge a real winner.
100% recommend the Jewel as a great, safe to stay,
