If you experience a place to stargaze/skywatch while enjoying old Captiva, stay a few days at either Jensens' set of accommodations. By Beach or by Bay, this area of Florida has little to no artificial light during the night hours for optimal night vision.

My husband and I came to Jensen’s late August. Take my advice do not stay less than 4 nights! You will not want to leave. The beach is so secluded and quiet! We stayed in the “On The Beach” suite and it was perfect for a couple! The room is little, on the ground floor and they have done an exceptionally great job with utilizing the space efficiently to meet all your needs! You can see the Gulf from the screened in porch but I wouldn’t call it “a view”, that wasn’t a concern for us because if we wanted to see the Gulf or drink coffee in the morning on the beach we would just actually go out to the beach instead of sitting on a balcony. It literally is a 1.5 minute or less walk to the beautiful Gulf waters! We couldn’t ask for more! If you’re a party crowd this isn’t the place for you! It’s serene, quiet, no disruption type of atmosphere. If you’re needing true relaxation, unwind, no crowds, and the beach and water as your source of entertainment look no further than Jensen’s!! They provide the beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and beach towels! Along with a cooler in your room and free ice daily! We have wanted for nothing our entire stay! Captiva Island is on a whole different level when it comes to salt life! 2nd to none!! I honestly cannot think of anything I would suggest for improvements! There are golf carts and bicycles everywhere and you can walk to 99% of the restaurants with ease! It’s just simply gorgeous! A true hidden gem!
