Located in historic Ely and only about a two-minute walk from Bristlecone Convention Center, this hotel has a fun theme and plenty of amenities for families. It is situated on Aultman Street in and walking distance to the Ely Renaissance Village. The property is located on the site of Ely’s first City Hall built in 1908. Onsite dining includes Cell Block Steak House; Ely’s only fine dining. There is also a lounge onsite for those age appropriate. There is a fitness center with a hot tub. All rooms come standard with free Wi-Fi, cable TV with HBO and film channels, air-conditioned, activity table and a seating area, a small refrigerator and a coffee machine. A 24-hour reception greets guests of Motel and Casino Jailhouse.

This was our second time staying here but will be our last. Cheap but this time our room was a dump. Carpet was rumpled up in places, bathroom floor had holes, room reeked of cigarettes. Bed was comfortable but sheets were not. If we hadn’t been so tired we would have left.

Run...mold, mildew, and just plain ick!

Ok, you expect a cheesy motel or two when driving across Nevada and the mountain west, but this place fit the bill for gross, run down, rip off dives! The air conditioning is old, loud, and useless; the rooms are mold and mildew pits (don’t go near the carpet lake at the ice machine); oh, and pick up some crack across the street while you’re there! At $75/night that should include at least a free bag.
