For visitors looking to stay in the heart of the Everglades, the Ivey House is a perfect fit. Offering three facilities for accommodations, families can enjoy a modern inn, a private cottage or the historic lodge that was originally constructed in the 1920s and serves as a B&B. The Lodge may not be the best option for families, as it features separate bedrooms with full or twin beds and shared common area and bathrooms. The Homestead Inn, however, is located across the street from the lodge and has three queen bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, living room with sleeper sofa and the ability to sleep 8 comfortably. The small Cottage is available for smaller families, with two bedrooms with a full and a twin in one room and a queen in the other. While small, the cottage also has a living room and a screened porch and can sleep four. Guests of the Ivey enjoy breakfast daily, and kayaking is available on guided daily tours. A swimming pool is located on site.
