The Island View Inn is an AAA Three-Diamond rated hotel set on 23 acres in Rockport, Maine. Overlooking Penabscot Bay, the hotel features magnificent views from its accommodations, which include guestrooms and houses (the latter of which have kitchenettes). All accommodations include binoculars, king beds, and free Wi-Fi. Connecting units are available.

Guests of the hotel also enjoy easy access to a private stretch of beach and an outdoor pool.

Beautiful Inn

We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. We were fortunate that we did not lose power when the nor’easter came in during the night and early morning of the 16th and 17th of October 2019. That may be due to the fact that the Inn is on the same grid as the nearby hospital. It is regrettable that they do not have a coffee maker or microwave in the room however, an ample supply of coffee was available in the lobby each morning.

excellent hotel, beautiful views

Stayed one night after a trip to Isle au Haut. on our way back to Portland. Wonderful stay with beautiful views and friendly, helpful staff. Very much enjoyed the heated pool. Spacious room, tastefully appointed. Convenient to restaurants but in a quiet, peaceful setting. Looking forward to a return visit.
