Overview

The rooms at Island Suites are spacious and comfortable. You’ll enjoy views of the lake, a living room area with a couch, a small kitchenette with a microwave, stove, fridge, etc., and more. The owners and staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. The property is located minutes from the London Bridge, walking distance to plenty of restaurants, and close to outdoor activities including boat tours, parks, and beaches. Look up activities, directions, and ratings using the free Wi-Fi.

You’ll be able to enjoy a free breakfast in the mornings, but note that the eating area is very small, so be prepared to take the food back to your room if all the tables are taken. When you want some aquatic refreshment at the end (or beginning) of the day, you’ll be happy to find the pool, which is clean and warm, and there’s a hot tub in the pool area as well. Daily maid service is provided so you’ll never lack clean towels.

THE WORST!!!

The room looked like it was recently remodeled BUT...... it smelled like wet dog!

They do allow dogs but be wary!! we were charged $100 after we checked out of the hotel. when I inquired about it, they said they did not have us in a dog-friendly room and that the room would now have to be sanitized... A TOTAL LIE!!!
Every room around us had a dog (we could hear them barking and scratching at the door).

When we left to get a bite to eat, we put out our 'DO NOT DISTURB" sign on the door. When we returned the housekeeper was in our room & I caught her going through my bag!! GROSS!!! When I confronted her, she became very defensive!

Every time I contacted the hotel to discuss the $100 charge, I was advised management would need to call me back, to no avail! The last time I called the gentlemen said he was a manager but did not have the authority to credit my account.

This is a family-run business (which I prefer to support) but will now reconsider when booking a hotel. I expected great customer service and did not receive it!

Hindsight, after reading several reviews... it appears that cleanliness is not something they are known for at Island Suites.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

Visited this place with friends... Very clean rooms, very clean pool and hot tub, hallways were under renovations... friendly hotel personnel, great breakfast, lovely breakfast... Definitely recommand...
