This is the best hotel for families in Madrid, thanks to a stellar, safe location on the wide Paseo de la Castellana. It’s only minutes in either direction from everything you want to see and do in Madrid, such as Retiro Park, Reina Sofia Museum and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. All can be accessed on foot or via the metro stop just a block away.
Availability of connecting rooms give families the space they need; there’s also large family rooms with sleeper sofas. Upgrade to executive lounge level for access to a diverse break-fast spread, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. All guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, air conditioning in rooms, and extremely comfortable beds to sink into after a busy day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Madrid. We attended a conference for half of our five days which was very convenient. But we used it as our base for sightseeing (10 to 20 minutes by taxi) or two blocks from high street shopping. The Intercontinental Club is worth the up charge. Great service and nice rooms. Breakfast buffet every morning included.

This hotel is very beautiful inside and feels special . The staff are very helpful . The have a pillow menu for all preferences of pillow softness or hardness but I did not get a chance to try it. Walking to town is absolutely doable.
