Overview

The scenery at this southwestern New Hampshire B&B can’t be beat, with a pristine mountain lake framed by the wooded hills of Mount Kearsarge State Forest Park in the background. But the décor inside is just as pleasing to the eye — a lovingly curated tableau of English country furniture and flowered patterns that comes across as elegant rather than cloying.
Among the 10 guestrooms here are five junior suites perfect for families, which include queen or king-sized beds, along with a separate pullout queen, full, or twin-sized sofa bed. Each room has its own bathroom with tub and shower; some feature whirlpool bathtubs and body spray showerheads. A hearty breakfast is included in the rates, as is afternoon tea and cookies. In addition, the inn has its own fine-dining restaurant that is a destination for residents of the area.
If looking out on the beautiful lake makes you eager to get out onto it, you can saunter down to the inn’s private beach where you can swim or take out one of the inn’s boats, including canoes, kayaks and rowboat. In addition, there is are basketball and volleyball courts, as well as hiking trails within easy reach. For more adventure, Lake Sunapee is only a 15-minute drive away.

A fabulous B&B in New Hampshire. The staff, the location, the room were all superb. I would also recommend the Chef's tasting menu. Chef Bryan Leary was fabulous and took the time to meet with us before and after dinner. Highly recommended

We love the Inn at Pleasant Lake! This is our second visit here and we love the rooms, the staff, and the EXCELLENT food. They were very accommodating when we asked if we could add extra family (that was not staying at the Inn) to the breakfast. The private beach is so lovely, and there is complimentary access to the canoes to take out on the lake.
