Conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, Hyatt Place is a surprisingly quiet and relaxing hotel. Their suites are perfect for a family of four or five, with two double beds and a double sleeper sofa. Kids will love cooling off in the large outdoor pool, while parents will appreciate the tall trees shading the expansive pool patio. Other amenities of the hotel include free Wi-Fi, laundry service, fitness center, and a free hot breakfast. One very nice feature of the hotel is their Gallery Market, where you can grab fresh sandwiches, salads, pastries, coffee, and bottled beverages for your day’s adventures. It’s especially handy if you’re heading out to one of the area state parks, where food options are at a minimum.
After a long day, you’ll find several casual restaurants within walking distance of Hyatt Place, but other options are easy to find. You’ll also be mere minutes from most of the area attractions, such as the El Paso Zoo, the Old Ironsides Military Museum at Fort Bliss, and the Wyler Aerial Tram. Kids will especially love riding the gondola to the top of Ranger Peak for stunning views of the city and desert, and over the border into Mexico. Five miles from your hotel is downtown El Paso, where you can visit the El Paso Holocaust Museum, learn about the history of El Paso, or watch the Chihuahuas play minor league baseball. With its spacious suites, cool pool, and awesome lunch/snack options, the Hyatt Place has what you need for a fun family vacation in Texas.

This Hyatt has definitely seen better days. One of the elevators wasn't working during my entire stay. There are scuff marks in the hallways. The pillows were tiny. The bathroom was hard to get in and out of because it was so small there was no room to open the door. The sound kept not working on ESPN when I was trying to watch football.
I'm telling you all the bad news first because you might be expecting something different out of a Hyatt. But I really, really enjoyed myself. There are stray cats out by the pool. They are cute and one was super friendly and let me pet it. The staff was super awesome! I really, really liked them. And I got great suggestions from them on where to go. The staff definitely made my stay worth it. There's a pretty good little breakfast each morning. 4 hot dishes. Always one breakfast meat, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and then a rotating 4th one. Cold cereals. Yogurt. Granola. Breads. Fruit. They have a tiny little bar area too.
The neighborhood is a little crowded. There is an IHOP and a Denny's within walking distance. There are sidewalks so you can easily walk up to the mall nearby. The walk is safe!
If you are traveling on business, this is a decent option. Hit up the staff for suggestions on where to go!
Oh - and they do have an airport shuttle that's free.

I've stayed at 3 hotels in El Paso over the last 2 months.for a total of 12 days. 1 from Hilton, Marriott and this Hyatt. I was really thinking that the Hyatt would be the best, but I have to say that it wasn't, the Marriott was. The bed was ok, nothing special, the pillows were probably the worst, it did have Breakfast but only average. The room was clean but a little dated. Their shining stars are their employees, all of them were great!
