Families will enjoy the warm hospitality of the House on the Rock B&B. All four of the Alaska-themed rooms are good for a small group. They have a queen bed, twin bed and room for a twin rollaway or crib, plus a private bathroom. Kids will love the huge collection of taxidermy, arrowheads and fossils. Also nearby is the The Valdez Museum, which highlights the history of the area, including the Klondike Gold Rush and the 1964 earthquake that caused the entire town to be moved 4 miles to the west. There are several tour companies in town that can take you on guided trips to view wildlife, hike to a glacier or even go heli-skiing.
