The hotel is comfortable and clearly business orientated. It’s no frills but gets the job done. For what is clearly a business hotel I was shocked at the appalling WiFi/internet connectivity. WiFi call quality (WhatsApp and WeChat) was appalling and internet connectivity was posdibly the worst I have experienced in Asia ... yet 150m away (at the Tully’s Cafe ... great coffee!) the WiFi internet speeds were lightning .... go figure. Nice hotel but not conducive to me getting my work done.

This was our third stay at this hotel, our previous stay was in 2017 and we rated it Excellent. Not so this time.
We booked and paid for a top premium king room. Upon arrival, we were given what felt like an office with a bed. The room was large but instead of containing the sofa and coffee table as advertised, it contained a large office desk and office chair. The furniture was grimy, scratched and damaged, the chair was covered in stains and the desk top had something spilled underneath the glass top. It was not a nice room.
Before we even opened our cases, I phoned reception to point out that our room was not as booked and was told that the hotel was full and therefore we couldn't be moved. Not standing for this, I visited reception and asked to see the person I had spoken to on the phone, who came out of the office and was very appologetic and arranged for us to move the next morning. Simple, could have said that from the start.
The next day, we were moved to another room. This time it was the correct room, large, great view, sofa, coffee table, foot massager. But again, it was very tired with scruffy, scratched and damaged furniture and fittings and a stained carpet, it had certainly seen better days.
We had a great visit to Japan, staying at three different hotels. We thought this hotel would be the best based on our previous stays here, it turned out to be the worst in terms of room quality.
It's a shame because the hotel is in one of the best locations for getting around being linked to Shiodome and Shimbashi stations via underground or overground walkways, and the surrounding area is great for walking around with parks, Tokyo Tower and plenty of restaurants and bars in Shimbashi.
The hotel has been allowed to slip and is in desperate need of a room refurbishment programme and we will not be staying here again until this has happened.
