Just got back from a weeks stay at this hotel just a short walk away from the Riverwalk.
This is a nice boutique hotel and save for a few hiccups, we had a nice experience.
Really nice bar and outdoor seating for a great view of SAT river n sunsets. Restaurant was ok but we just missed breakfast and they couldn't make a "fast breakfast" even though the dining room and room service share the same kitchen?
Room service was a bit lacking(they actually ran out of ice cream for a ice cream dessert n the substitute was a disaster)and housekeeping failed to replace a pillow case that was OBVIOUSLY in need. Front desk staff was a bit "shy" meaning they didn't mind keeping you waiting. Prices are pretty good for the area but beware of staying on the St. Mary's st. Side of the hotel on weekends. EVERYONE goes down that street to get to the riverwalk and Honking is apparently a sport in Texas..
The "Door staff" gets 5 stars for a really good experience and help.
SHOUT OUT TO BOBBIE!!
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! YOU'RE THE BEST!!
We'll definitely take a look at this hotel for any future trips, as the location is ideal, only will look to stay on "river" side of hotel for peace and quiet.

We spent my birthday weekend in San Antonio, not even realizing that the weekend festivities for Dia De Los Muertos were taking place. I booked the Hotel Valencia so we could have a balcony room over the Riverwalk. The room was very large with great amenities. The balcony over the Riverwalk was a major memory for our trip. We were able to watch the Dias De Los Muertos boat parade on November 1st in the comfort of our own room. The amenities were great. Housekeeping was excellent. The front desk was very considerate.
As for the restaurant, Dorregas, it was excellent Argentinian food. Empanadas were awesome. The bartenders were incredibly personable. They always remembered our usual drinks and took an interest in our day.
The location could not be better. You can walk out the front door right down to the Riverwalk. It is unbelievably quiet because it is towards the end of all the activity, but still at the beginning for the restaurants and shopping. We can't wait to return.
