A casual Miami boutique hotel located in Miami’s financial district, the Hotel Urbano at Brickell offers comfort, convenience and reasonable prices for families vacationing in the area. Known for the artwork decorating the walls throughout the hotel (some for sale), the Urbano sports an eclectic, fashionable vibe along with clean and well-appointed rooms. Although not overly luxurious, every room includes a mini refrigerator, bathrobes, luxury bath products, hair dryer, iPod docking station, iron and ironing board, flatscreen-TV, coffee maker, in-room safe, high speed wireless Internet, and balcony or walk-out lanai. An onsite restaurant, Bistro Urbano, fuses South Florida and Spanish cuisine. Guests consistently remark on the comfortable bedding, friendly and helpful staff, and the free form swimming pool with spacious sun deck, plenty of chaise lounge chairs, four cabanas and a fire pit.
Centrally located, the hotel is just minutes away from the Seaquarium, Jungle Island zoological park, Miami’s Children’s Museum, Miami Science Museum, Biscayne National Park, and the beautiful Crandon Park Beaches. Only a short drive away, families can also enjoy the Everglades National Park, the Miami Metro Zoo, and a variety of popular state parks that offer an array of opportunities for kayaking or canoeing, bike riding, nature walking trails, beach fun, family picnics, boating and much more.
If you’re traveling with small children, adjoining rooms may be requested but note that the bathrooms do not include tubs. Valet parking is offered but can be pricey.

Terrible food, dirty buffet area. Loud ac, you will not be able to sleep. Cannot opt out of valet parking. No continental breakfast included. You will be overcharged for a bad breakfast with wet eggs and burnt bacon. Everything sticky with syrup.

First, I’d like to say most of the staff has been great. All 3 stars is for the pleasant hard working staff. The hotel itself however I didn’t enjoy. The elevator smelled terribly musty. I saw two cockroaches, one on the door of another room and the second on my bed! The A/C is the swamp cooler kind. So after being soaked from Miami’s oppressive humidity, we cooled off in the sticky a/c of our room. I expect a hotel room to be a refuge from the heat and humidity. While it was cool it did nothing to the humidity. All our clothes felt wet for the entire stay. Have you ever slept in cold wet sheets? Now I can say I have. As nice as the staff has been, their good attitudes aren’t enough to make up for the discomfort (high indoor humidity) and disgust (cockroaches) that came with our stay.
I’d like to acknowledge Genesis at the front desk and the nice young lady that works the breakfast. They deserve raises.
But due to things outside their control, I can not recommend this hotel.
