I, Eliza , brazilian tourist, have a very serious complaint about this place.
I have been at Trebol for two days. The day after I left the hotel I asked a recepcionist about a possible shrine in the city in which I could offer a picture of a young valuable friend who passed away.
This receptionist kindly told me that I could do it in the hotel's shrine. I accepted and reported it to my friend's family and friends. Everybody got deeply touched.
It is important to highlight that I did not ask to place my friend's picture over there - she had offered it to me.
Two hours passed by I returned to the shrine and they have had withdrawn the picture. I went to the counter in search of the recepcionist that allowed me to offer my friend's picture for she to explain me what had happened. She was not there. Instead, I talked to another recepcionist, and this one was extremely impolite, ironic and did not even care at all about retracting herself. The whole situation is raw absurdity.
I have come to Mexico with an a+bsolutely open heart, fell in love with the landscape, culture and everything related to this beautiful land. It is utterly unacceptable such behaviour from people who should welcome tourists to be unable to display a slightest trace of empathy with those beloved ones gone specially in this holiday.

This is a Mexican Hotel. It's not Holiday Inn Express. In my book, that's a good thing. Our room was nice and comfortable. Housekeeping was invisible and very good, just like you want it.
Front desk is friendly and helpful. Cold beer twenty pesos. There's a travel agent in the lobby who can arrange nice guided day trips.
Breakfast included. Scrambled eggs and hot sauce. Plus cheese and fruit. Mexican style coffee.
It's one block from the Zocalo, walking distance to all kinds of great places and restaurants. Across the street from the Mercado Benito Juarez. Beautiful courtyard.
