I just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. The location is great and everything in town is easily walkable (this is the end of the off-season so some stores and restaurants were closed, and the hotel was relatively quiet). The staff was super helpful and friendly and the room was very clean and well equipped with a fridge, silverware/plates and coffee maker. The last renovations appear to be several years ago but the decor and furnishings are well maintained and contribute to the cozy atmosphere. This was a solid experience for a reasonable price - I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

This place was not what we expected. We were looking for a quiet getaway. There was a girls hockey team staying here and they let the girls run the halls all night long. We were staying in the room right above hot tub. All we could hear were the kids in the tub. We finally called the front desk, because these rooms are far from noise proof, and we were told after 10:00 it would be better. After 10:30 a group of adults went in and it was F bomb after F bomb. After about 5 hours of sleep and a splitting headache got up to make coffee, and the coffee maker didn’t work. Told the front desk at checkout and they could have cared less. So much for a romantic birthday getaway
Family Activities
There are two outdoor hot tubs located within the hotel spa, but besides that, there aren't any other onsite family activities. Fear not -- there is more than enough for families to do in Telluride, including skiing and snowboarding (obviously), hiking, snowmobiling, and shopping.
Family Dining
The Nook
Located just off the main lobby of the hotel is The Nook, a quaint and cozy dining spot with a full bar. A breakfast buffet is served here seasonally from 7 to 10 a.m. (for a fee), and includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and fresh fruit. Dinner is served daily from 5 to 10 p.m., and includes favorites such as meat and cheese plates, pizzas, sandwiches, and seafood.
The "Li'L Miners" menu features chicken tenders, cheeseburger sliders, and mac and cheese. Hopefully Larry is working when you visit -- he gave us some good insight into Telluride!
Fresh Baked Cookies
Families will surely be tempted to leave their rooms once the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies fills the air. Pair these with complimentary ice tea -- you won't be disappointed. Available daily in the lobby from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Art of Smart Timing
Telluride is a year-round destination, and so is this hotel. The fall foliage is really something to see, the winter is top-notch for a wide variety of outdoor activities, the spring brings fresh floral smells and even fresher mountain air, and the summer gets its groove on with a number of outdoor music festivals, mountain biking, and hiking. Accommodation prices tend to decrease during this time, as well.
Getting There
Montrose Regional Airport is an hour and a half away. We recommend jumping onboard the Telluride Express, located right at the front of the airport. The Hotel Telluride can be found right off Colorado Ave. as soon as you arrive in town.
Getting Around
The town of Telluride is completely walkable, though a complimentary shuttle is available through the hotel to take you to the base of the gondola.
