A home away from home

Visiting Playa Del Carmen with my family for the first time we are surrounded by big commercial resorts. Hotel Riviera del Sol however is a small boutique quiet hotel located just a stones throw away from the beach and two doors down from all restaurants etc..
We have loved staying here as it’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are moderately priced and very comfortable. This is the perfect hotel in the area purely because it’s unique and not commercialised like all the other hotels in the area.

The only downside is no bar for the evening and there is no where to eat. This however wasn’t really a problem as there are plenty of places to eat just next door.

Also the cleaners are amazing and really go the extra mile to make your room nice and somehow managed to get rid of the sand everyday !!

I can’t rate this hotel highly enough .Great value , we paid about $75 for a poolside room for 3.Very clean, nicely decorated. Absolutely central, for restaurants , shops, 3 mins walk to beach.Loved being in Mexico , surrounded by Mexican gusts
