Have just spent a week at the Riu, which is nice enough but by no means the best hotel!
It is set in really nice grounds and the across the boardwalk from Miami (mid) beach!
Our room was basic but comfortable, we had a Ocean front room, so was nice to sit out on the balcony in the evenings!
Main my complaint about the room is the the sink is not in the bathroom, it is in the room, so if you get up to go to the toilet in the night you have to run the tap to wash hands which wakes the other person in the room up!
All the staff were really friendly and welcoming apart from the lady chef on the show cooking station - it seemed like it was an effort for her to do her job!
We were full board and the food at the hotel is good, lots of choice so we always found something to eat!
Cocktails are really good, especially the Miami Vice!
The pool area is lovely and well kept, you could always get a place to sit.
Overall a good stay!
