I will start by saying that there didn't seem to be much choice when we were looking for a hotel in MP. This was one of the few available. If you have mobility issues, this is NOT a good hotel for you. It is situated almost at the very top of the town (up hill the whole way) and then up a long flight of stairs to get to hotel itself. We were on 6th floor and there is NO elevator so we had to walk up those stairs too. Phew! Was exhausting everytime we went out. Service is very basic - aside from occasional greeting when you walk in, there was no one around to help with any needs you might have. Our room was small and sparse with 4 single beds. Room wasn't the cleanest and bathroom smelled badly. Shower was poor with only a trickle of water. They said hot water only available between 7 - 8pm but if you leave hot water tap on for about 10 mins we got hot water midafternoon. The strangest thing were the large windows in bathroom - as there were no curtains we felt exposed. I think they're reflective windows but weren't sure they provided complete privacy at night when lights on. Great view and they opened so could let fresh air in at least. Free breakfast opens at 4 AM to accommodate MP. It was super sparse with only bread and juice pretty much. No hot items. Hotel felt super budget with high turnover so was very noisy. Not a place you'd want to spend more than 1 night. Probably wouldn't stay there again. Felt unclean and too much uphill to get to hotel/room.

I stayed here for one night. The staff was friendly. They let us store our bags in a room while we went to Machu Picchu and hang out in the lobby until we left to board our train. Our room was right next to the stairs, so it got loud. At one point, I woke up out of a dead sleep from hearing a couple of loud guys climbing the stairs. It was dark in the bathroom. The whole bathroom was in mainly black, including the toilet. The shower water was violent. The TV and the internet were both good. They have MTV and Fox, which are channels that can both be switched to English. They serve breakfast at 4:30 a.m., which is great for those exploring Machu Picchu. They were only a couple minute walk from the main road. The address here and Expedia is listed wrong. Someone on the street had to help us find where this hotel was. According to the hotel staff, there location moved.
