If proximity to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is your priority, then this hotel–“less than 300 feet away”–is your best bet. There are only eight rooms available in this Federal-style building, one of the oldest buildings in downtown Cooperstown. The on-property restaurant serves Chinese food, but numerous other restaurants, from bistros to barbecue joints, are a short walk from the front door. Shermans Tavern is located in front of the hotel.
The basic rooms come with two queen beds. They’re comfortable and convenient, with microwaves, mini-fridges and private outdoor eating areas with barbecues. There’s also free Wi-Fi and cable television. While this property is open year-round, there is a minimum night stay requirement. Rooms are normally rented on a weekly basis.
Nearby attractions include Historic Doubleday Field, Cooperstown Bat Company, Otsego Lake boat tours and Glimmerglass State Park. Guests appreciate the laundry facilities and the free parking, which is hard to come by in this part of Cooperstown.

We stayed here while my son played baseball! Great place to stay! A short walk to everything. Hotel was clean, the owner was really nice. I’d stay again. It’s nothing fancy but it was great for our family. He seemed to know when we had games bcs our room was always cleaned while we were out! Double Day field is behind the alley, BHF down the street. Little kitchenette was perfect.

The location is right in the center of town, about a block away from the Hall of Fame. There are numerous shops and restaurants a short walk away. We went so our son could play at Dreams Park. It about a ten minute drive from the park. The room was very clean, the mattresses were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!!
