Disclaimer: We stayed in the hotel during the flooding in late March 2017. The city was struggling, so the hotel didn't have all their normal resources. The internet and cable TV did not work for quite a while. Mostly was due to the flooding, but we know other places had working internet when our hotel didn't.
The hotel was clean and the receptionists and janitorial staff were very friendly and helpful. When they cleaned our room they did a wonderful job and treated our personal objects with respect. Nothing was ever stolen or misplaced. The bathroom was pretty small, and there was no rug on the floor. The air conditioning worked great, which was very helpful. The pool was closed most of the time, but we believe that was due to the dust in the air as a result of the flooding.
The kitchen staff was not as friendly. Luis, a waiter was great and always trying to please us. He worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed. The other waiter was the opposite. He acted like it was a chore when we ordered our food and did nothing to try to accommodate my friend, who is a vegetarian. The food takes a really long time to prepare. We often had to wait 30-45 minutes for our food, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. They do provide room service at no extra charge, which was really nice.
Overall, it was an okay hotel. Hopefully when there isn't a natural disaster going on things are more organized and the wait staff isn't as grumpy. Location is good.

This hotel was two stars only because it was clean and well located. Otherwise it was One star. One towel per person.. No bath mat so had to step on bare floor. Had to use same towel for hand drying as well as shower. Rooms made up late In The day 5:30 when it was empty all day. Food was poor and sent back fish.
