Surprisingly good hotel - inside is much better than outside. The foyer/entrance hall is totally unexpected.
Big comfortable bed and a decent shower.
We arrived late, so we ate in the hotel restaurant. We didn't bother going out to eat after that because the food was so good, even for my vegetarian wife. We had the restaurant to ourselves each night because we tended to eat early. Guido was always smiling, for dinner and breakfast. We were intrigued by the napkin presentation - they were different each day, so Guido gave my wife some napkin folding lessons. He made our mealtimes.
The hotel is quite close to the centre of Cusco. It was a bit tough to walk up the slope to the centre, but well worth the effort. (Cusco is relatively high altitude for us Londoners!)

This hotel is in the ideal location! It is very close to the historic center and the Plaza de Armas of Cusco. Restaurants and shops are a short 10 minute walk away. The hotel is quaint and has a very authentic and traditional feel to it. The lobby is gorgeous! There is always a smiling face who opens the hotel doors for you and welcome you back. It's a fairly small hotel, and has a home-y feel to it. The rooms are quite small, however. For those who, like me, carry large suitcases, it was a slight inconvenience, but nothing too serious. I don't remember there being any elevators, but the bell boys can bring your bags to your room. The rooms are clean and so is the bathroom. There is hot water in the shower and there was a hairdryer. Soap and towels are provided. There is also a safe in the room. The wifi worked for us in the room too and the connection was good. We also had breakfast at the hotel. Variety in breakfast foods was somewhat limited, but this seems to be the case across most hotels I stayed at in Peru. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very good and I would recommended it to couples or anyone traveling with one partner. The atmosphere at this hotel is very lovely.
