A former student of mine, with whom we stayed in LA, was able to set up a last minute trip to Catalina through the Hotel Metrople there. Now, admittedly, as the former stunt double for David Hasselhof in BayWatch, and the owner of a Stunt Cooridnator Hollywood Studion, who is currently working on the Amazon Prime Bosch series, he has connections there. Nonetheless, the hotel personnel and Head went way out of there way to accomodate all of us and even gave us a room to change in and keep our belongining during the lontg day before our return boat was to leave in the late evening. It was quite well located, not overly expensive despite being peak season, and certainly of sufficient comfort. They also have a small but nice hot tub area on a high floor where one can enjoy reading, drinking, and observing the rather nice view. I would highly recommend.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had updated look. The location was perfect and close to shops and live music. Hotel was also the closest to Descanso Beach and the Casino where a lot of the events I was attending were located.
