Our party of eight stayed there for two nights in October. Its in a wonderful location, right on the main square. The check-in was a nightmare, quite ridiculous bureaucracy. Then our room smelt of cigarettes so we had to move. The new room was adequate but a bit poky. Otherwise no complaints; nice breakfasts, great bar.

I stayed here for 8 nights as I got a bad cold driving from Chiclayo so I spent 3 days in bed with room service and extended my stay so I could see all the magnificent ruins and museums in this area. The service I received from the staff was amazing. They delivered honey and fresh lemons, real chicken soup and fresh lemonada to my room. The bathroom has a huge bathtub with lots of hot water so it was heavenly. And Armando cleaned my room every day and was so extra kind. The food in the hotel is very good (it's a real restaurant not like hotel food) and room service is so fast! I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here again.
AND the location is wonderful. Being right in the plaza you hear all the marching bands, church bells and it's a lovely area to walk around. The Mercado Central is only 3 blocks away if you want fresh fruits. And it's a short block from Al Dente, the No. 1 rated restaurant in Trujillo!
