Small families who enjoy smaller, family-run hotels will love this central little spot on Isla Mujeres. Choose from rooms with one king bed or two double beds, or opt for a room with a king bed and bunk beds if you’re a family of four. All rooms have refrigerators and there’s a well-equipped communal kitchen on the rooftop, where you’ll also find a dipping pool and hammocks. From here, you’re walking distance to the ferry dock as well as Playa Norte and all manner of restaurants and shops.

We absolutely loved our stay!
Rooms:
The staff was there, ready & waiting to greet us upon arrival. They knew exactly who we were and which room we had reserved. The room was perfectly readied & fresh with the AC on, in anticipation of our arrival. The room & bathroom were extremely clean. The AC was cold, WiFi was excellent and there were no problems with water pressure or temperature. There was ample storage bins/cubbies/shelves & hangers for our clothes and belongings. Our room was very comfortable, so much so that I didn't want to leave! I could easily have set up permanent residence there!
Property:
Again, extremely clean and well cared for property. You can tell instantly, that the staff (and owners) really care and take pride in every detail. The decor & ambiance is something hard to accurately describe in words... but it's absolutely perfect. There are hand-painted frescos throughout (inside & out) and lush plants & gardens everywhere you look. There is a charming glow of decorative lights lining the hand rails, hallways & patio areas at night.
My absolute favorite part of Hotel Las Palmas is the roof top patio! The dipping pool is sparkling blue, refreshing and a fair size for the space. There's also and outdoor rinse shower and private restroom stall with vanity & sink for convenience. Plenty of chairs, lounges, hammocks, dining tables and even a sun bed! I can't explain how nice it was to just relax, sunbathe and cool off in the pool while enjoying a beer. The patio is a stunning and relaxing oasis to say the least!
Location:
Perfect! Hidalgo is one block over, Ruben's restaurant and small beverage/snack store are right next door, Lonchería and Mercado directly across the street and North Beach 2 blocks away!
Staff:
I felt absolutely safe here, never a problem with security or lack of someone around. The front entrance door was always closed and secure at night. I can’t say enough about the staff. Antonio was wonderful and comforting to see each day. He was very helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. He definitely provided me with a trusted sense of security. Taína (hope I spelled that right ????) is amazing! What a wonderful host! Always helpful & friendly, willing to provide information & tips or just chit-chat. Again, very accommodating to any request for help and made us feel very safe & welcome. Her little dogs were also very heartwarming, I very much appreciated their presence❤️. We were very spoiled by the staff to say the least! I left feeling like they were old friends, and can't wait to see them all again!
Summary:
I can't say enough about Hotel Las Palmas, definitely very highly recommended! I slept wonderfully and completely enjoyed the rooftop patio pool, sunshine & views. I feel like this is definitely my home away from home! <3
Until next time my friends, much love & thanks!

Good location. Felt safe in hotel & neighbourhood. Helpful staff. Hotel arranged pick up from airport. Rooms small, musty from
dampness. Generally clean. Decent mid range place to stay. Hot water, one free bottle of water a day. Basic, filling breakfast included on roof top terrace. Welcome beverage at checkin. Would stay again. Many restaurants and bars on the same street & coin laundry 150m away.
